Steve Metheny

Steve joined the DMEA Board of Directors in 2023 and is the Board Assistant Secretary/ Treasurer. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering - Electric Power Systems from New Mexico State University and the University of Colorado-Boulder. He has executive management experience in electric utilities, including DMEA, until his retirement in 2018, and has taught classes as an adjunct faculty member at Colorado Mesa University (CMU) since 1991, mostly at the Montrose campus. He currently serves as the Director of CMU's Montrose campus. In addition to DMEA, he also serves on the Boards of the Montrose Economic Development Corporation and Western Slope Schools Career Collaborative.
