October marks National Cooperative Month, and Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) is inviting its members to celebrate during the co-op’s annual Member Appreciation Days:
The public is invited to stop in at their local DMEA office to enjoy a free lunch provided by food trucks, including Double Barrel Taco Co., Alarado Biscuit Co., Mountain Country BBQ, and Tamales & Mexican Food. Members will also have the opportunity to meet their new CEO, Alyssa Clemsen Roberts, chat with DMEA employees and board members, and pick up a special member gift. All items are free, and members can come and go as they please. There will be no formal presentation.
“DMEA has accomplished some amazing things over the years, and it’s because of the support and passion of our members and employees. That’s what it means to be part of a cooperative. On a personal note, I’m also looking forward to getting to know our members and this amazing community. I hope you’ll join us,” said DMEA CEO, Alyssa Clemsen Roberts.
The open-house events will give DMEA members an opportunity to get to know their board representatives and leadership team. Members are also encouraged to bring their questions about important topics like Elevate (DMEA’s fiber internet subsidiary), energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
