DMEA Business Grants

March 15, 2021

Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) will once again host a virtual Annual Meeting due to the uncertainty of COVID-19. As a result, DMEA is dedicating the funds budgeted to host a large in-person event to a special business grant program instead: $30,000 in local business grants is now available to businesses within DMEA’s service territory.

“We’re disappointed that we won’t be getting together with our members in person, but we aren’t letting COVID completely sideline our entire Annual Meeting again. This past year has been devastating to our local economies, so we are dedicating $30,000 to support local businesses,” said DMEA Chief Executive Officer, Jasen Bronec.

Nominations for DMEA’s 2021 Business Grant Program open today, March 15, 2021, and close May 10, 2021.  Businesses located within DMEA’s service territory are encouraged to apply for a grant online at dmea.com. The program is open to all businesses, regardless of size, within the co-op’s service territory. Businesses that have received funding from other DMEA programs within the past three years are ineligible to receive a grant.

“COVID-19 has impacted the way we all do business, whether it’s as simple as hidden smiles behind masks or as heartbreaking as businesses closing their doors. We hope these grants can help local business owners weather the storm a bit longer,” stressed Bronec.

DMEA’s 2021 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 17, 2021. It will be held virtually. Additional details are not yet available.
