
Ryan joined the DMEA Board of Directors in 2024 and holds a Credential Cooperative Director certification from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University, as a first-generation college graduate, and then a Master of Arts in Environment and Natural Resources, a Juris Doctor, and an Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources certificate from the University of Wyoming. He spent years working as a valve mechanic in nuclear power plants and was awarded the Antarctic Service Medal for his trade work at the South Pole Station. He is a wildlife advocate for the Endangered Species Coalition.
