Coffee and Conversation at DMEA Member Appreciation Days

September 20, 2019

October Marks National Cooperative Month

September 20, 2019 October kicks off National Cooperative Month and Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) is inviting the community to celebrate along with it during the co-op’s Annual Member Appreciation Days:

Wednesday, October 2, at the Read Service Center from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Friday, October 4, at the Montrose Headquarters Office from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

The public is invited to stop in at their local event to chat with DMEA employees and board members, enjoy local coffee and treats, and pick up a special member gift. All items are free, and members can come and go as they please. There will be no formal presentation.

“Like all co-ops, DMEA exists to serve our members, and each October, we like to take a moment to celebrate the work we do and those that we serve—you,” said DMEA CEO, Jasen Bronec.

The open-house events will give DMEA members an opportunity get to know their DMEA board representatives and leadership team. Plus, members are encouraged to bring their questions about important topics like changes in power supply, the status of Elevate (DMEA’s fiber internet subsidiary), energy efficiency, and renewable energy.

“DMEA is driving major change in our local communities, from internet to local renewable energy. But, between busy lives and countless news sources, it can be difficult to stay in the know. I hope all members will take a few minutes to stop in and ask us about what’s on their mind,” said Bronec.

Each open house will also feature local coffee, baked goods, and a free gift for those who attend (while supplies last). At each event, representatives from DMEA and Elevate will be on hand to visit with members and answer questions.
