There is no charge to become a member of Delta-Montrose Electric Association. By signing an electrical service agreement and upon receipt of electric service, a new member is given the privilege of voting and participating in the Association's operation. A new member agrees to:

Memberships can be held jointly, and any provisions relating to the rights and liabilities of membership shall apply equally with respect to the holders of a joint membership. Only one holder of a joint account may vote and/or hold a cooperative office. Only one membership is allowed despite the number of accounts a member may have, and memberships are not transferable.

Each year, DMEA has an annual meeting to which all members are invited to attend. The primary purpose of the annual meeting is to elect new directors as their terms expire. Other business which comes before the meeting is also addressed.
