The Montrose County Planning Commission provided notice of a public hearing to consider an amendment to the April 2009 Special Use Permit in four (4) areas. The public notice and map are shown below.

August 2009 Project Update
April 20th, 2009: Board of Montrose County Commissioners Approve the Special Use Permit for the East Montrose Electric System Improvement Project. The approved project begins at the new Peach Valley Substation and ends at the new East Montrose Substation. The southern segment was withdrawn from the permit application pending further siting studies.

The Montrose County Planning Commission provided notice of a public hearing to consider a special use permit application for the East Montrose Project. The special use permit would allow construction and operation of a new transmission line, two new substations and modify an existing substation to serve existing and future growth in and around the Montrose area.
